Afdlin's New Movies to struck malaysia's cinema soon..

Los dan Faun

Los (Hasns Isaac) and Faun (Adlin Aman Ramlie) are two childhood friends who come to Kuala Lumpur to make a living for themselves. Almost immediately Los realises that Faun has an almost savaunt-like gift for deduction which helps people find their misplaced belongings.

Los, being the more business-minded of the two, decides to capitalise on Faun’s talent and his personal charm to create a finding service for people missing their belongings. They soon become well-known and are seen on tv.

Recently bereaved Jasmine (Erra Fazira) sees an ad for their services on TV and hastily calls Los and Faun to garner their services. When her super-rich husband Tuan Safar (Afdlin Shauki) died, his very expensive watch went missing, and she needs their help to locate it

Los and Faun visit Jasmine and find that she is very beautiful, living alone in a huge house of luxury, and fighting off Tuan Safar’s younger step-brother Jefri (AC Mizal), who claims that some of her inheritance belongs to him.

Faun, struck by Jasmine’s beauty, tries to make some deductions about the whereabouts of Safar’s watch, but to his and Los’ chagrin, finds that his powers are strangely affected by Jasmine’s presence.

Then they meet Dick Johnson (Stephen Rahman-Hughes) when they arrive at Safar’s office during their investigation. Dick is the insurance representative from Sotheby’s who has come to investigate the claim on the missing watch to make sure it is genuine. Amran is the local agent from the same company.

Dick joins Los and Faun in their attempt to discover the mystery of the missing watch. However, along the way, Los and Faun have a bitter dispute over Faun’s remarkable loss of deductive powers. Los accuses Faun of being unable to remain impartial to the facts of the case, and is instead falling for the Jasmine.

Los teams up with Dick while Faun and Jasmine go off on their own path of investigation.

As both sides get deeper and deeper into their investigation, each side realises that things are not really as they seem. Faun realises that Dick and Safar have known each other from school. If only Los and Faun would get over their differences, they would be able to put their pieces of the puzzle together….

Sumolah

Story Synopsis
Ramlee (Afdlin Shauki) is a down and out Malay boy who can’t seem to hold down a job, much to his Mother’s (Azean Irdawaty) disappointment. Out of a job and out of money, he stumbles across a challenge by sushi restaurant owner Honda (Patrick Teoh) to “eat all you can for free food – within a time limit”.

Hungry and desperate, Ramlee attempts the challenge, and fails. In compensation, Honda lets Ramlee take a job at the restaurant to pay off his due. Ramlee becomes a member of the Boleh Sushi shop staff, along with Harith (Awie) and Andy (Radhi Khalid).

Ramlee is immediately attracted to Honda’s beautiful daughter, Siti (Intira Charoenpura), who is half-Japanese and half-Malay. He begins to learn the meaning of having good work, good friends and family.

One day he learns that part of his obligation is to take part in the Malaysian Sushi Association Amateur Sumo Wrestling Championships held by the local Japanese owners of sushi restaurants.

Whilst taking part in the initial friendly bout, Akira (Gurmit Singh), Siti’s ex-boyfriend, humiliates him in public. It is only after that that Ramlee finds out that he had been tricked into working for Boleh Sushi because Honda was desperate for a third member for their team.

Ramlee has to make a choice – whether to stay on and fight for Boleh Sushi in the upcoming Championships, or to give up on his new-found family.
